Join John McDougall, with over 60 years in the Scotch whisky industry, as he shares stories, techniques and insights from a lifetime spent creating exceptional whisky.
Sample a selection of five of our whiskies while learning about blending, maturation, cask influence, John's exceptional career in Scotch Whisky and what makes Lowland whisky unique.

John's Experience
Our Head Distiller, John McDougall, is one of Scotland's most respected whisky makers, with more than 60 years of experience in the whisky and spirits industry.
His career includes:
• Led distilleries in all five of Scotland's recognised whisky-producing regions – a distinction held by very few people.
• Former Distillery Manager or Production Director at renowned distilleries including Springbank, Laphroaig, Balvenie, Tormore and Ladyburn.
• Pioneered the production of the world's first intentionally distilled Organic Single Malt Scotch Whisky at Springbank.
• Worked with or advised on more than 35 distilleries and distillery projects across Scotland and internationally, including Ireland, Sweden, France, Germany, India, England, the USA and beyond.
• Former General Manager of one of Scotland's largest whisky warehousing, blending and bottling operations.
• Extensive expertise across every stage of whisky production, from barley selection and malting through to distilling, maturation, blending, bottling and quality control.
• Recognised internationally as a leading whisky consultant, judge and expert, advising new distilleries and developing spirits for clients around the world.
John's unparalleled breadth of experience brings generations of knowledge, craftsmanship and innovation to every whisky we produce.

Participants must be 18 years or older. Please bring valid ID for challenge 25. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Tickets are non-transferrable and for individual use only. Business bookings must be agreed before purchase. The masterclass runs rain or shine. Attendees will be sent on-the-day guide to locate the event. Don't drink and drive, drink responsibly.
