Refunds & Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Knockhill Distillery. However, due to the nature of our products - particularly alcohol - certain restrictions apply in accordance with UK consumer law and Scotland's alcohol regulations.


1. Returns Eligibility

Due to food safety and alcohol licensing regulations, we do not accept returns on alcoholic products unless:

  • The product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect

  • You received the wrong item

  • The item is unopened, sealed, and returned within 14 days of delivery (at our discretion)

Returns for non-alcoholic items (e.g., merchandise, glassware) are accepted under standard UK consumer rights.


2. Damaged or Faulty Items

If your order arrives damaged or is defective:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery

  • Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of the item and packaging

  • We’ll offer a replacement, credit, or full refund, depending on the issue

We may request that the item be returned before issuing a refund.


3. Refunds (if applicable)

Once we’ve confirmed eligibility for a refund:

  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method

  • It may take 3–5 business days for the refund to appear in your account

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable, except where the error was ours


4. Age Verification Failure or Missed Delivery

If your order is returned to us due to failed age verification or repeated missed delivery attempts:

  • We will refund the product excluding shipping and handling fees

  • Re-delivery is available, but you will be responsible for additional shipping costs and a re-stocking charge

We reserve the right to refuse a refund in cases where legal delivery requirements are not met.


5. How to Request a Return or Refund

Email us at contact@knockhillwhisky.com with the following:

  • Full name

  • Order number

  • Reason for the return or refund request

  • Supporting photos (if applicable)

Our team will respond within 2 business days.


6. Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for:

  • Opened bottles or products

  • Products returned after 14 days

  • Gift cards or promotional items

  • Sale or discounted items (unless damaged or faulty)


7. Consumer Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK laws.
