Shipping Policy

At Knockhill Distillery, we’re committed to delivering your order safely, legally, and on time. This Shipping Policy outlines how and where we ship our products, especially alcoholic goods, in accordance with UK and Scottish law.


1. Delivery Locations

We currently ship to addresses within:

  • Mainland United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales)

  • Northern Ireland (some restrictions may apply)

We do not offer international shipping at this time.
We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes or parcel lockers due to age verification requirements.


2. Delivery Times & Processing

We aim to process all orders within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays).

Please note: Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on order weight, delivery location, and shipping method selected.


3. Same-Day Local Delivery

We’re offering Same-Day Local Delivery for our locally based customers.

Available on selected addresses only, please use our postcode checker tool on our product page to confirm eligibility. Only available on online orders placed before 17:00. Deliveries will be made after 18:00 on weekdays to ensure customers are available to sign for delivery after standard working hours.

You’ll be able to place your order online and after inputting your address for delivery, the same-day local delivery option will be available. 

Note : customers must be present to accept delivery of their goods, we are not able to leave deliveries in postboxes or lockers. If no-one is available, we will attempt delivery the next available day.


4. Age Verification & Challenge 25

Alcohol orders are subject to Challenge 25. This means:

  • By placing an order, you confirm that you are aged 18 years or over and legally entitled to purchase alcohol.

    You understand that alcohol deliveries must be received by a person aged 18 or over. Deliveries cannot be left in a safe place, with a minor, or otherwise unattended.

  • Couriers may request a valid photo ID (passport, driver’s licence, or PASS card)

  • Alcohol will not be left unattended or with anyone under 18

  • Failed age verification may result in your order being returned to us

  • Re-delivery or restocking fees may apply

It is your responsibility to ensure someone 18+ is available to receive the delivery. 


5. Delivery Partners

We work with trusted UK couriers including:

  • Royal Mail (Tracked 24/48)

  • DPD

  • Evri / Hermes (where permitted)

You will receive a tracking number via email once your order is dispatched.


6. Missed Deliveries

If no one is available to accept the delivery:

  • The courier may attempt redelivery or leave a card with instructions

  • After multiple failed attempts, the parcel may be returned to us

  • Refunds will exclude shipping costs unless the issue was our fault


7. Damaged or Lost Orders

If your order arrives damaged or goes missing:

  • Contact us at contact@knockhillwhisky.com within 24 hours of delivery

  • Include your order number and photos

  • We’ll arrange a replacement or refund based on the issue


8. Delivery Restrictions

We do not ship alcohol to:

  • Customers under the legal drinking age (18+)

  • Locker services or forwarding companies

  • International destinations

  • Addresses restricted by UK or local alcohol laws

We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not comply with these terms.


9. Shipping Confirmation

You’ll receive an email when your order is shipped, including:

  • Tracking link

  • Estimated delivery time

  • Courier details
