This time, we’re taking a different direction.
Following the release of The House Blend - Peat №1, we’re pleased to introduce the second whisky in our House Blend series - an unpeated malt blend created by our master distiller, John McDougall.
The House Blend - Malt №2 brings together carefully selected malt whiskies chosen for their balance, character and depth. With no peat smoke to lead the way, the focus is firmly on the spirit itself - allowing the malt, oak and natural character of the whisky to take centre stage.
Bottled at natural cask strength, this is a whisky with a full and generous character, combining soft malt, richness and depth with a smooth, rounded finish.
As with our first House Blend, this release is an early expression of the style and character we’re building towards at Knockhill Distillery. These blends give us the opportunity to work with John’s experience and begin exploring the kind of whisky we want the Knockhill Distillery name to represent.
Limited to just 150 bottles, The House Blend - Malt №2 is an another deliberately small release. For now, this is a glimpse of what’s to come - unpeated, naturally characterful and made with the same attention to detail that will define our whisky for years ahead.
